If you are writing towards a word count limit, it is important to cut words that do not add any meaning. With writing, more words may reduce clarity.
A starting point would be to remove the following words as they add no value to writing:
- Just
- Simply
- Hit e.g. hit the button. Replace with press or select
- Please, Thanks, Thank you – manners are not required in documentation
- Really
- Very
